Check the following...

 Is the printer securely connected to your computer via a cable?

If a hub or switch is used, disconnect it and connect the printer directly to your computer and try again.


 Is the printer to use set as [Default Printer]?

1. Click [Close] on the [Troubleshooting] screen to return to the My Printer main screen.

2. Click [Select Printer] and select the printer you want to use from [Available printers connected with a USB cable].


 Are you using the latest printer driver?

Click [Update the printer driver...] on the [Troubleshooting] screen to install the latest printer driver.
